We have organized a special capacity building workshop for our Homestay host families from Sri Lankan and Southeast Asian countries. In this workshop we will discuss and agree on sustainable tourism practices in terms of Homestay accommodation with the integration of adventure, agriculture, spiritual, heritage, ECO, community, wildlife and other exclusive tourism destinations. As an outcome we will develop a Code of Ethics guide book for Homestay host families. Our main target group will be youth, women and disabled people who involved as homestay host families . The workshop will be facilitated in English with Sinhala and Tamil interpretations.
The workshop has been organized to celebrate international year of sustainable tourism – 2017 and to provide its benefit to rural communities and global tourists.
